FIFTEEN teams from the Okehampton area took part in the area annual schools’ tag rugby festival at South Zeal last Thursday.

Pool stages were played in the morning, with the top four teams going forward to the cup and the rest to the trophy competitions which were played in the afternoon.

The trophy was won by Okehampton B who played Lydford in the final and the cup was won by Chagford after a very competitive game against South Tawton A.

The top four teams of Chagford, South Tawton A, Okehampton A and Bridestowe A will represent the Okehampton area schools in the West Devon finals to be played on April 20. The Tavistock area schools tag rugby event is on March 27.
