WEST Devon Borough Council's Connect team will bring even more Christmas cheer to one of West Devon's traditional events, Okehampton's Edwardian Evening on Thursday December 4.
The Connect team, staffed by the Council's customer service advisors, can help residents with all sorts of enquiries, as well as informing them about scores of services of which they may not even be aware.
Joining the team at the Edwardian Evening festivities at the council's offices in St James Street between 6pm and 9pm will be one of West Devon's planning officers.
The team will be getting into the spirit of the event by dressing in period costume and offering light festive fare.
There will also be the opportunity for visitors to enter a free draw, with prizes donated by Waitrose, Leisure Connection, Merlin Cinemas, Donalds Menswear and Purple Penguins.
The Connect team have regular surgeries in more rural areas of the borough, taking services to the doorstep of residents. Currently, the surgeries are also held in Hatherleigh, North Tawton, Exbourne, Chagford and Lifton.
