CHERITON and Tedburn Young Farmers' Club will hold an open evening on Tuesday, October 2 to try and recruit more members to the club.

This is the club's first meeting since its annual meeting. In an effort to boost membership numbers, the club is holding a new members' night to invite anyone interested in joining to come along and meet new people, have a fun night and find out more about the YFC.

The club holds dances every Friday night, and welcomes people of all backgrounds aged 10 to 26. Anyone is welcome to become a member, regardless of whether they are a farmer.

Cheriton and Tedburn YFC has members covering a wide area, from Okehampton to Newton Abbot.

Members regularly compete in various competitions and fundraisers for local charities.

The open evening takes place in the Spalding Hall in Cheriton Bishop from 7.30pm, and all are welcome.
