FRIENDS and well-wishers bid farewell to the local Time for Life co-ordinator Jenny Beavon recently at a special goodbye lunch.

Jenny has worked for Time for Life in West Devon since it launched seven years ago. During her time the organisation has organised initiatives including the popular monthly tea dances and play reading groups. She is now moving to Modbury and will co-ordinate the service in the South Hams district.

She said moving on from West Devon would be bittersweet, having enjoyed living and working in the Okehampton area for so long, but that Time for Life would continue to thrive in the area.

Ali Fife-Cook is the new Time for Life representative for West Devon. Time for Life works to reduce social isolation in the over 65s and enablers work with people on a one-to-one basis for up to 18 hours.
