GP surgeries across East Cornwall are in urgent need of hand sanitiser and temporary consultation rooms.

If you have any spare, even single bottles of hand sanitiser or know of larger quantities for sale, the GPs, who cover Tamar Valley Health (Callington and Gunnislake) have asked that people contact them as a matter of urgency.

Also the practice locations across the whole of East Cornwall from Liskeard to the Tamar Valley who cater for more than 105,000 patients, have an urgent need to create temporary consultation rooms. This is in order for them to be able to help patients with suspected coronavirus symptoms without having to compromise the entire GP surgery.

To achieve this they are looking for any companies or individuals that may have any large trailers, vans, shipping containers or similar sized temporary structures that they can temporarily convert to on-site consultation rooms.

‘We do realise the nature and size of these requests and we hope that by reaching out to the wider public we may be able to continue to provide our communities the very best quality of care, whilst keeping our staff safe,’ they said.

Please get in thouch through the email [email protected] if you can help.

The GPs have asked that if you can’t help directly please do ask your friends and share the appeal on social media to help them reach the widest possible number of people.
