AN all round disciplined and tireless team effort made for a close and enthralling match. Okehampton set the early tempo and enjoyed the lion's share of possession and territory. They created several chances but found the home keeper in great form.
In the 13 minute the home side broke through with a long ball and a Sidbury player buried it in the corner of the net. However, Argyle continued to dominate and they were rewarded 10 mins before the break with good play down the left from Foggy, who crossed well for Josh who met the ball first time to prod home.
The home keeper continued in fine form to deny Argyle's Josh, Tom and Conor scoring but on the stroke of half time Sidbury scored on the counter-punch when, following a ricochet in midfield a Sidbury forward found himself on goal, Aaron did well to save the first shot but was powerless with the rebound.
Okehampton came out for the second half in determined mood and equalised after five minutes when Foggy ran with the ball at the home defence and slipped a perfectly timed pass to the run of Ross, who coolly slotted past the keeper.
Argyle continued to dominate the game but clear cut chances were minimal. The defence of Ryan, Lewis and Josh ensured they were never in danger.
In the final minute Argyle snatched the victory that their performance deserved.
A free kick from Lewis was met by a perfect one foot side volley from Tom to wrong foot the home keeper to give Argyle three vital points in their challenge for the title.
