A 55-year-old Okehampton man has appeared in court accused of sexual attacks on young boys.

David Knight is accused of offences against three different boys, allegedly taking place between 1998 and 2006.

No plea was taken at the preliminary hearing on Tuesday, in front of Judge Graham Cottle at Exeter Crown Court.

The case was adjourned by Judge Cottle for a plea and case management hearing on June 27. Knight was remanded on bail.

Knight, of Station Road, Okehampton, is accused of three charges of gross indecency with a boy aged under 14, at Crediton, between 1998 and 2000.

He is also accused of causing a second boy aged under 14 to engage in sexual activity at Okehampton between July and September 2004 and of raping the same boy, also in Okehampton.

Knight is further charged with sexual touching of an 11-year-old boy at Okehampton between 2005 and 2006.
