ST Peter's Church in North Tawton has impressed visitors with a wonderful display of flowers during its flower festival.
Central Devon MP Mel Stride visited the church on June 2, looking at the arrangements representing the Queen's life and her reign. These included an arrangement of Kenya, where the Queen first heard of her father's death and her accession to the throne, and a mock-up of Windsor Castle.
Mr Stride said: 'It was fantastic to see such a wonderful display of flowers and such an imaginative creation of scenes from the Queen's reign.'
Jane Pyle, one of the flower arrangers, expressed her thanks to sponsors Dave Simmons Plant Hire and Groundworks, North Tawton Post Office, Kevin Rice, North Tawton Cars, Gilletts Spar and Jen and Clifford Dennis Agricultural Supplies for making the event possible.
