YOUNGSTERS can be involved in a busy programme planned to keep them fit and entertained during the autumn half term, thanks to OCRA.
On Tuesday, October 29 and Thursday, October 31 OCRA is holding sport and art days for six to 14 year olds, where youngsters can enjoy a mixture of sport and art and craft activities.
Potential sports include unicycling, trampolining, handball, basketball, and on the Thursday there will be opportunities to go swimming in the afternoon session.
The sessions run on both days from 10am to 3pm, with the first child of the family costing £9.50 and each additional child costing £7.50. Children will need to bring appropriate indoor and outdoor clothing, packed lunch and drinks.
On Wednesday October 30, youngsters can take part in OCRA's first unicycling camp, a gymnastics camp, trampolining or horse riding. The unicycle camp is for those aged eight to 18 to learn new skills, or swap skills with other experienced riders. Anyone taking part is asked to bring gloves, trousers or leggings that cover the knees and a cycle helmet. Riders can bring their own unicycle, or lodhe a request for a club unicycle. The session costs £8.
The day's gymnastics camp is open to boys and girls aged eight to 16. All abilities are welcome to try the tumble track, balance beam and other gymnastic equipment. The session runs from 10am to 1pm and costs £8. Both camps run from 10am to 1pm.
The afternoon's trampolining camp is for beginners and keen trampolinists aged eight to 16. The session offers the chance to learn and develop new skills or hone existing ones with a trampoline coach. The session runs from 2pm to 5pm, costing £8. Ten to 18-year-olds can take part in the horse riding from Eastlake Riding Stables at 2pm to 4pm. The session costs £20 per person.

Friday, November 1 promises a more relaxing day of bushcraft and outdoor adventure at Alder Lake from 10am. Children aged eight to 16 can cook on the camp fire, make some environmental art and take part in games.
The session runs from 10am to 3pm, costing £15, including lunch. Youngsters are asked to bring a snack, a drink, suitable clothing and wellies if there is wet weather.
