THIS year organisers of the Okehampton Carnival are putting together a very special royal reunion.

The fundraising event will be held in the Okehampton Conservative Club on Saturday, September 3, and proceedings will commence from 8pm.

Carnival organiser Helen Cann said: ’Our event is called Past Royalty Get Together, it will be an informal evening and we would love for people to attend.

’If you were a past carnival queen, king, prince, princess or attendant – we would love to see you there!

’If anyone has any old photographs, or if you have kept your sash or crown, we encourage that you bring them along.’

Previous carnival attendant Mrs Cann said that the evening would be a great opportunity for guests to reminisce about carnivals from the past.

The carnival organiser also said that there would be a raffle as well as lots of fun to be had by all.
