THE battle for the North Devon U14s Plate was an evenly fought match.
Okehampton took the lead through Jones, who tapped in from close range after a spell of consistent pressure applied by Argyle.
North Molton responded and were unlucky not to score after several shots struck Argyle's goalposts.
An excellent goal line clearance from Packer maintained Argyle's lead through to half time.
After the restart Okehampton were pressed back and their defence was breached to bring the scores level.
The rest of the match was tense with strong tackles and close efforts on goal from either side.
With one goal each at full time, extra time ensued.
There was a nervous moment for Argyle as North Molton struck the post before Okehampton went close themselves as two shots struck the North Molton crossbar in quick succession.
With the score remaining 1-1 at the end of extra time the match had boiled down to the lottery of penalties.
Victory fell to Okehampton as they held their nerve and took the penalty shoot out 2-0, to clinch a fantastic result for Argyle U14s.
