THE classic musical Oliver! is to receive the Courtenay Players treatment this week.

The amateur dramatic group have been hard at work in rehearsals, ensuring the show provides a fun evening of entertainment for all the family.

Based on the classic Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist, the production tells the story of orphan Oliver who endures a miserable existence in a Victorian workhouse before working for an undertaker and escaping to London.

Tickets for the production are selling well, available in the Fairplace Church 50/50 shop in the Arcade from 10am to 4pm each day.

Tickets cost £7 for adults and £5 for under 16s.

The show will be performed in the Charter Hall in Okehampton from Monday, February 17 to Saturday, February 22.
