A POLICE operation has stopped two illegal raves taking place over the Easter weekend — including a planned rave at Fernworthy Reservoir. Devon and Cornwall Police have been running Operation Derig to prevent rave activity over the bank holiday weekend. They successfully stopped a planned rave at Fernworthy Reservoir and Woodbury Common in East Devon. Sound equipment was seized, with follow up investigations being conducted. Inspector Steve Bradford said: 'Officers reacted quickly to information from members of the public to deal with two raves in the process of being set up, ensuring sound equipment was seized and persons requested to leave the area.'
