LEW Trenchard Primary School was recently visited by local Police Community Support Officer, Dan Walker.

The Okehampton Rural West PCSO explained to the pupils his role in the community and showed them his uniform and his police equipment.

Headteacher Tim Woodward said: ‘All the children were able to inspect his police car and the Brentor Class teacher, Louisa Frost, was “arrested” for giving out too much homework!

‘The children really enjoyed learning about the work of the police in their local community.’
