OKEHAMPTON town councillors have set a date for the holding the first of their monthly surgeries to meet the public on June 21.

Two councillors will be at the town hall on Thursday, June 21 between 10am and 12 noon.

Deputy mayor Councillor Julie Yelland said: ‘It is an opportunity for people to bring any issues to us, but also to talk to people about what is involved in being a town councillor.

‘Come along to find out more.’
