On Saturday a three ball two to count Stableford was held at Okehampton Golf Club. Winners of division one were Mark Wonnacott, Martin O'Connor and Dave Tilley with 79 points on the back nine from, in second Nick Godfrey, Richard Camies and Rob Camies. Phil Martin, Jonathan Rattenbury and Adam Holliday were third with 78. Division two winners with 83 were Neil Penfold, John Flavin and Kevin Harding. Second were Graham Hows, Stephen Tonge and Colin Beardwell with 81 and third were Pete Okopski, Bob Barrett and Ray Piper with 78.
On May 9 in perfect conditions almost 50 teams entered the veterans three ball open. The overall winners with 77 points were Bob Davies, Rod Wright and Trevor Parker from Okehampton. First visitors from Ilfracombe, were Tony Winterton, Roger Lewis and D Cook with 74. First home team were Jim Oakley, Den Adams and Owen Howe with 74.
Okehampton ladies played the May medal. The winner of the silver division with a superb nett 66 was Penny Deakin and the bronze division winner was Michelle Abel with a nett 71.
