THE Brentorians present their spring production ‘Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime’ tonight (Thursday) at Brentor Village Hall with shows running until Saturday (May 7).

A comedy in two acts by David Tristram, the play features Inspector Drake back to face his greatest ever challenge as he attempts to unravel a plot with many twists.

Who is the mysterious Dr?Short and why did he marry a warthog? Has he murdered his fourth wife or did she murder him first? Has he got two daughters called Sabrina or is one of them telling porkies? Where is Frank the taxi driver? What was the Pope doing in the woods and perhaps most importantly of all — why is there a lamp-post in the living room?

The entire play is set in the living room of Dr Short, circa 1970.
