Okehampton charity, Wren Music, have created two musical walls at the town’s St James CofE Primary School, using old instruments and constructing tuned percussion from old pipes.

The musical walls were made in time for the children’s return to school after the summer holidays. Laura Espin from St James Primary said: "We’re very excited to have this opportunity to work with Wren Music, to allow the children to make music as part of their regular play.”

The work has been made possible by funding from both Okehampton Town and Okehampton Hamlets Parish Councils.

Jon Dyer, deputy creative director at Wren Music, said: “It’s important for us. It’s been a lovely project to be part of, and we can’t wait to see the children making music and having fun with it.”
