For the first time in their history Tavistock Squash Club has won the Plymouth Company Squash League title.

And to make the achievement even more impressive, Tavistock played all their games away, after a flood closed its courts for six months.

Team member Steve Moody, said: “The league has been running for over 40 years and despite our courts being out of action the Tavistock 1st team managed to win the league.

“All games had to be played as away matches which made each fixture harder, but despite this, the team only lost one fixture and accrued enough points to take the title.

“The 2026/27 season starts off again this month and it is hoped that the title can be retained.”

A massive thank you to all our sponsors, Jewson, Weston Building Company and Alex’s Oak Tree.
