PUPILS from Lamerton, Gulworthy, Mary Tavy and St Andrews (Moorland Schools Partnership) took part in a maths workshop recently.

Lamerton hosted the event and the focus of the afternoon was to encourage discussion through maths problem solving tasks and to use different strategies to achieve goals. Parents, teaching assistants and teachers were able to watch the children debate and justify where they should put statements on a time line, share ideas when solving shape and number puzzles and record results when investigating bridges.

There was a real buzz in the air as the children worked together.
