CHILDREN at Okehampton Primary gave the new mayor of West Devon a tour of their school when he visited them recently.

Councillor the Rev Mike Davies was shown around the school by Key Stage 2 pupils.

He also met all the Key Stage 2 members of the School Council and told them about his role as mayor and about the work of West Devon Borough Council.

They then told him all about their project to reduce the use of plastic within the school and discussed how they would like to extend this to supermarkets in the local area.
