A GROUP supporting young people in Okehampton with special needs has had a boost from some fundraisers.
SNAP, a social club which offers its members the opportunity to try lots of new activities and socialise, is pictured receiving t-shirts and music and activity and drama equipment from a group of young people who had come together over the summer as part of a National Citizen Service (NCS) course run by Argyle Community Trust. The designs on their new t-shirts were created by SNAP member Jess Dennis.
The group raised £800 for SNAP through a quiz night, cake sale and sponsored bike ride.
OCRA’s Stuart Lord said: ‘A big thank you from all those involved with SNAP — it was great to see the skills, care, passion and hard work that the NCS young people and their leaders put into raising money for this good local cause.
‘You can find out more about SNAP sessions and also upcoming NCS courses on the OCRA website.’
