The small village of Northlew is stepping up to help Ukraine with a bake sale at the Chapel Hall on Saturday morning.

The bake sale runs between 10am and 12 noon, with everyone invited to take part either by baking goodies or coming along to buy them.

One of the organisers, Martin Perry, said: ‘We are just doing our bit. All the money raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee fund.’

The organisers are happy to collect your bakes or you can drop them off at Merrial Cottage (Tracey Barrett, 01409 221835), Elmfield (Martin Perry, 01409 221376) or 2, Station Road (Bet Spry, 01409 221003).
