Residents are invited to participate in the Lydford Scarecrow Trail and vote for their favourite this weekend (August 29 -30).

Those wishing to take part can pick up a map from the Nicholls Hall in Lydford from 10am to 4pm and follow the trail around the village, before casting a vote.

There will also be an exhibition of local artists’ work at the hall. Cream teas will be available all day and the bar will open at 12 noon. Bacon butties will be provided until 12:30pm.
