Okehampton Recycling Centre has temporarily closed due to severe weather today.

On its website the centre said it had taken this action because the site was unsafe for public and staff: 'We will constantly monitor the situation but it does look like it is set to be like this all day,' they said.

'We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we always make safety our first priority.'
