A HUGE variety of plants can be viewed at an open gardens event in Whitchurch this weekend.
The garden of Jan and Ian Gasper at The Chantry, Marshall Close, Whitchurch, will be open to visitors on Sunday, August 4 between 2.30pm and 5.30pm to raise funds for the Mary Budding Trust, a local charity which provides educational, mobility and other equipment to assist children with individual needs.
Jan described the garden as 'a moderately-sized, challenging garden filled with a myriad of flowers, shrubs, ferns and grasses'.
A completely new garden in 2009, it was last opened in 2011 as part of the NGS scheme and has been considerably developed since.
Entrance is £2.50 with children free. Tea, cakes and plants are available.
