DEVON County Ploughing Association, now in its 47th year, held its 2026 Presentation Luncheon at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum, on Sunday, November 1.
Ploughmen and guests from across the county attended and enjoyed an excellent lunch, which was followed by speeches and the presentation of awards.
The trophies presented are based on cumulative scores from qualifying matches held across Devon.
The Devon County Ploughing Association coordinates annual ploughing matches and rural skills competitions across Devon, bringing together local clubs and ploughmen to compete in modern, vintage and traditional classes.
The association connects with groups such as Mid Devon Ploughing Club, Witheridge and District Ploughing Association, Cheriton Fitzpaine and District Ploughing Association, Cullompton and District Ploughing Association, Sidmouth Junction and District Ploughing Association plus Cruwys Morchard, Withleigh and District Ploughing Associations among many others.
All the ploughmen were thanked for taking part in the competitions, landowners for allowing use of their land, judges and the volunteers who helped organise matches.
