POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault at the Queen’s Head Public House in Tavistock on September 11 between 9.15pm and 9.40pm.

A number of staff members were assaulted by a white male wearing a red T-shirt under a royal blue waist length jacket.

Any information should be given to the police quoting crime reference numbers CR/83825/18, CR/83828/18 and CR/83829/18.

FOUR men entered the Morrisons store in Tavistock and filled a trolley with £1,871 worth of spirits before attempting to leave the store without payment. Police ask people to be vigilant and if you are ever concerned about suspicious activity alert a member of staff. CR/84055/18.

TWO men and a pregnant woman entered Superdrug in Tavistock and it was believed the pregnant female may have caused a diversion while one of the males took cosmetics without payment. The offence happened between 4pm and 4.10pm on September 15. CR/85103/18.

THREE chainsaws and a red Honda quad bike were stolen from a Devon Wildlife Trust building at North Devon Clay Works at Meeth between 8pm on September 12 and 7am on September 13. One of the chainsaws was new and still in its box.
