THE trustees of the Mary Budding Trust are immensely grateful to all those who have made the fundraising event in Tavistock Town Hall on Monday, November 19 such a huge success.

Immediate thanks go to Peter Gorton and his team for their demonstration of how to cook for Christmas and to Charles Steevenson for his generous support with refreshments. But we are also very grateful to Bookstop for keeping the 'box office' in the public eye, to A Scent-Sation for providing the festive floral decorations on the day, the Co-operative Society for raffle prizes and the Ottery Press for the distinctive admission cards. The town hall staff were, as ever, hugely supportive.

Last but not least our thanks go to the audience, without whom a good result would have been impossible.

This was local support for a local charity and together we raised the marvellous total of £927 on the day.

The Mary Budding Trust provides grants or equipment to children under 11 in the area who have disabilities or special needs: those who are our own 'children in need'.
