POLICE officers in Okehampton are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the culprits behind a series of crimes involving vehicles.

A police spokesman said most of the reported crimes saw damage caused to vehicles left unattended in the two towns.

Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle between 12.30pm and 2.10pm on Saturday, October 9. The spokesman said the offender targeted a Land Rover parked in Hound Tor car park, Bridestowe, took the spare tyre and also cut the fuel line. Anyone with information should contact officers, quoting crime number CR/089232/21.

Criminal damage was caused to a car parked in street in Sterlings Way between 9pm on Sunday, October 10 and 7am on Monday, October 11. Both wing mirrors were ripped off and a large scratch put down the side of the vehicle. Anyone with information should contact police, quoting crime number CR/089922/21.
